Chapter 7 - Sugar and Spice and All Things Nice (WARNING Some Nudity)

I had to call her again. I just have to see her. Geez, am I going mad cause I really I need to sort things out with Lucy before I take this any further with Nicole. How can I make any promises to her if I'm still technically with Lucy? Oh dear, my head hurts!

So, what does stupid me do? I call Nicole, thats what, and dig a deeper hole for myself by asking her out on a date.
What the f*%!k am I thinking? Where is my brain??

Ahhh Nicole. Her voice her is like a drug and slowly, like I'm under a spell, all my responsible thoughts disappear and I get changed into something more formal and stylish as I am still desperate to impress her...

When the phone rings, its Lucy. Bugger.

Its a surprise to hear her voice as I wasn't expecting her back until the beginning of next week. She wants to catch up but I plead some pathetic excuse and promise to see her tomorrow. I'm in a right royal pickle now.

Little do I know that its going to get worse, alot worse.

I meet Nicole down town for dinner and I'm stunned at how beautiful she looks in her royal green low back dress. All thoughts of Lucy disappear and Nicole is all I see for the whole night.

She tries to talk to me seriously about Lucy but I avoid the topic and invite her to dinner first, talk about life second. With a coy smile she accepts.

Dinner seems to be going swimmingly and in my heightened state of luvvve I don't notice the town gossip in the back ground..

We toast to uni days and finally being together and still remain unaware of our watcher who cringes with every move we make.

Oh dear....this was not expected.

I, being the hopeless romantic, insist on a photo and Nicole being so good natured agrees. Little does she know that I wanted the opportunity to be alone with her, behind a curtain and as my wishes are granted, I don't hear any protests *wink*.

Ummmm, nice Nicole, nice.

Holding our picture I ask Nicole back to my place and she accepts. After paying the bill we head out to call a cab and I just pray that Lucy isn't waiting up watching my house. Thats not her style anyway and its just my guilty mind making things up. C'mon taxi!

Busy making a phone call to the cab company I don't notice who Nicole is talking too. I vaguely hear her asking if everything is alright. By the time I hung up, the mystery person is gone and Nicole is coming up to me to start our 100th makeout session of the evening.

We get home and waste no time getting into bed. It all happens so fats that I can barely remember the details! Bugger! Will have to do this again and I swear to myself to take Nicole out for dinner more often! After a umm, quick clean up and drink its back to bed and I am exhausted. Content, but exhausted.

Who knows what tomorrow has in store??

Chapter 6 - The Secret

So I'm finally home. The house still looks the same even though I am now seeing it through adult eyes. My younger brother Matthew decided to come home with me on the same bus but doubts that he will stay in Pleasantview long.

But where are mum and dad? For sure I thought that they'd be rushing to see us. Maybe they haven't heard the van that we hired to take us home from the Pleasantview bus depot.

Ahhh!! There mum is! Of course baby Matthew gets the first hug. Ugh. Annoying! This has been happening all my life.

Then dad appears and there are lots of congratulations going around. Yeah yeah mum and dad. Its not as if you weren't there for our graduations!

After all the fuss all I wanted to do was get changed into something more comfortable and call the boy of my dreams, my possible future husband, Dylan Broke.

Denim shorts and singlet top will do. I feel buggered after the long bus ride. Now, where's my mobile?

What? You're busy? Dylan, I haven't see you for ages! Ok, I know. Work committments and all. Pleeeease ring me when you're free? I can only handle mum and dad for so long! Rescue me!

Disappointed I hang up and decided to chill out in my bedroom. My room still looks the same from when I was a kid, its relaxing.

Reading, I try to clear all thoughts of Dylan from my head. But thats hard when the guy only lives across the street! No, I won't be pathetic and go running over there. I won't!

What?? Who's that calling me? Sounds like Lilith Pleasant, my cousin!!!!

Wow!! Its so cool to see her after all this time! Lilith wasn't interested in uni. She decided to stay at home and work at the local grocer. Not an ambitious girl by any means and certainly not my idea of fun, thats for sure. Mum and dad aren't that keen on Lilith and they have been acting a little weird too whenever I mention Dylan. Why is mum watching us? Whats going on?

Lilith is the town gossip so at least I can catch up on the happenings in Pleasantview , if not from Dylan.

But just as she was about to tell me something about Nicole Mellon, Autumn DeVille's son Joshua's girlfriend - geez, what a mouthful, there is yelling and the smell of smoke coming from the kitchen!

OMG!!! Fire!!!!

Bloody Matthew!! That boy could never cook!!

Afert all the drama I say a quick goodbye to Lilith and promise to catchup with her tomorrow and help Matt and Dad clean up. Guess I'll get the rest of the goss from Lilith tomorrow.

A long hot shower and then into bed - thankfully I'm too tired for thoughts of Dylan as I drift off to sleep.

Chapter 5 - Temptation? Yes Please.

Its a long story about the DeVille love triange and I promise to get into that later. For now, let me give you a glimpse into the love, or should that be, loves of my life.

After getting home from my interview with the Pleasantview Police Force, I decided to finally make a phone call that I had been debating about since my arrival back in Pleasantview.

The call was to Nicole Mellon, the girl I had loved since first meeting her 4 years ago at uni, when she was Joshua DeVille's girlfriend and I was dating Lucy Burb, my childhood sweetheart.

We never spoke of our attraction to each other, but she made her feelings clear when on the day of my graduation, just before my cab arrived to take me home, she kissed me long and tender behind our dorm house.

Since that fateful afternoon my thoughts have been consumed by Nicole. I simply want, no, I mean, must have her.

Lucy doesn't know about any of this and nor does Joshua. As you can imagine, it has haunted my very existence ever since it happened. I am in lust with her, that I know. But what of Lucy and my best friend Josh?

Some photos that mum and Daniel took before Lucy and I left for uni.

Lucy is a fab girl and I do care for her immensely but Nicole...what can I say?? Wait til you meet her.

Having invited Nicole over it seemed as though she was here before I had even hung up the phone. I truly had no idea what to expect. What would she say, would should I say? But the pictures speak for themselves....

She was more beautiful than I remembered. It had been weeks since I last saw her but it felt like years.

I barely had the chance to say hello before she lent in to kiss me. She kissed me deep and long. She kissed me like the lover I wanted her to be.

Her scent, hair, how she felt....

Man, it was getting hot in here...

Needless to say it was fun catching up with Nicole but I needed a cold swim after she left.

I was flying as high as a kite!

As you can probably see, I wasn't giving much, if any, thought to Lucy. That was something I was going to have to sort out in the not too distant future. This was a small town and the girl only lived one house away! I was playing a dangerous game.
